The tournament venue is at the UK National Sports Centre at Lilleshall, which is five miles (eight kilometres) from the residential venue.
The competition and official practice fields are located here, as are the majority of the volunteer helpers and FITA officials.
Just down the road from Lilleshall is Ironbridge, which is where the industrial revolution started early in the 18th century and subsequently spread to the rest of the world.
